Tanzania 2008

These images where taken on my recent trip to Tanzania. I made the trip with many preconceived ideas about Africa. Judgements made from images and stories fed to me from the media.

Despite the economic difficulties the country clearly has I found people had a great sense of community and pride. I was moved by the generosity of spirit and welcoming I received.

Sadly that spirit and community is not something I see or feel in my everyday working life in this country.

Tanzania is a beautiful place and I will go back.

Also whilst in Tanzania I made a attempt at climbing Kilimanjaro another stunning trip if not the most gruelling thing I have ever done!!!!
