Breaking down Barriers

Breaking down Barriers was a multimedia project including Sculpture, Fine Art and Photography. The project ran across 3 weeks and provided approx 20 unemployed women to learn new skills build confidence, have fun and tell their story.

The project was funded by Liverpool Capital of Culture & European Social fund and run in partnership with Insights sister company and social enterprise Arts for Women.

This was a very powerful experience for many of the women involved, and as a direct result of this project some of the women were inspired to go onto further education, setup a social enterprise. For other participants it opened the door to art in their local community.
